PABLO GIGNOLI

 

 

Pablo Gignoli, Argentine composer, arranger, and bandoneonist, has been based in France since 2012.

He stands out primarily as a composer and performer in TAXXI Tango XXI and the piano and bandoneon duo Volco & Gignoli

In 2005, he made his debut with the Fernández Fierro Orchestra, and in 2010, he founded the quartet Derrotas Cadenas. These groups were crucial in establishing him as a reference in 21st-century tango, rooted in tradition but always committed to moving forward.

He also focuses his work alongside guitarist Javier Díaz González and Walter "El Chino" Laborde. With them, he has released an album titled

"Hotel Amour" and is planning a new album to be released in the fall of 2024.

Between 2015 and 2020, he collaborated with Mueller & Makaroff (Gotan Project) as an arranger in the Plaza Francia Orchestra alongside Catherine Ringer (Les Rita Mitsouko) and as a bandoneonist alongside Benjamin Biolay during his "Palermo Hollywood" tour.
